Most properties marketed for sale in Scotland now need a Home Report. This is a pack of three documents: a Single Survey, an Energy Report and a Property Questionnaire. The Home Report must be made available on request to prospective buyers of the home.
We'd be very pleased to help you obtain a Home Report but if you're just gathering information, everything you need to know about the Home Report can be found on this site. There is at least one key piece of information that you absolutely need to be aware of when choosing a Home Report provider. Click here to find out more.
In the run up to the launch of the Home Report, The Scottish Government issued regular updates on the progress of the initiative. If you're interested in the history of the project, click here to view our archive. You can also visit the official Government site.
The Interim Review of the Home Report was published on 1st October 2010. The review looked at the implementation and operation of the Home Report over its first year.
A summary of the review findings is also available.
For 2011, we've taken the decision to offer VAT busting pricing - so whilst the VAT rise to 20% took effect on January 4th - our prices remain unchanged - saving you a further 2.5%.
